About the service
TaxBandCheck provides a council tax band assessment tool and paid intelligence reports. The Quick Band Check is free and compares your council tax band with neighbouring properties to help you identify whether your band may be incorrect. Paid reports provide detailed property analysis, comparable evidence, and challenge documentation to support a self-directed band challenge.
Not professional advice
The results provided by TaxBandCheck are indicative only and do not constitute professional, legal, or financial advice. You should not rely solely on our results when making decisions about challenging your council tax band.
No guarantee of outcomes
We do not guarantee that a council tax band challenge will be successful or result in a refund. The outcome of any challenge depends on factors beyond our control, including the Valuation Office Agency's assessment of your property.
Paid reports and documents
TaxBandCheck offers paid intelligence reports and challenge document packs. These are informational products designed to support a self-directed council tax band challenge. They do not constitute professional advice, and TaxBandCheck does not act on your behalf or submit any challenge to the Valuation Office Agency. You are solely responsible for deciding whether and how to use the information provided.
